Meaning narrative, is an oral history project that aims to promote reconciliation and advance democracy in Libya.

It will collect and preserve the experiences of individuals who have lived through periods of political and cultural significance in the country’s recent past. Through recording, compiling and archiving people's experiences and personal recollections, Sard seeks to build trust and facilitate dialogue between different communities and contribute to a more inclusive and democratic society.

Erasing the past can prevent new generations from learning critical lessons and compromise opportunities to build a peaceful future. By providing a platform for people to share their own stories in their own words and voices, and through their own understanding of what happened and why, allows for often painful past events  to be addressed.
